Great Lakes Outdoors Foundation (GLOF) is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit charitable foundation that was formed in 2008 to support two initiatives. The directors felt there was a need for an organization to assist youth and women in introducing them to the great outdoors.

GLOF takes youth and women on their first hunting, fishing, and outdoors experience in Michigan and surrounding states. When GLOF sponsors individuals or groups in their first experience, the cost is provided and the arrangements are made by GLOF. The foundation provides any requisite training, equipment, guide service and the knowledge for the event. Second – and just as important – GLOF assists the Michigan Department of Natural Resources (MDNR) with Recruiting and Retention (R & R) of hunters and anglers.
As a Non Government Entity, GLOF can do things that government agencies cannot do. Our goal at GLOF is to expand the number of people who enjoy the great outdoors in Michigan and other states, as well as to retain current outdoorsmen. We depend on Grants and Donations from other foundations, organizations, corporations, and individuals to exist. We also have a network of camps, volunteers and mentors ready to assist in getting people started in the programs.
Please inquire as to how you can donate or assist in our programs.
