The Great Lakes Outdoors Foundation recently took two ladies fly fishing on the upper Rogue River in West Michigan. The trip was funded by a Grant from the Shaw and Betty Walker Foundation in Muskegon, Michigan. Great Lakes Fly Fishing was the guide service and did an excellent job of teaching both ladies, and supplying the necessary equipment for the trip. (http://www.troutmoor.net), and guide Glenn Blackwood gave the ladies a lesson, supplied the equipment, and then the fished the afternoon for Brown Trout and Rainbow Trout. Both ladies caught several fish, with each of them landing a very nice trout. Both ladies left with their own Fly Rod outfit so they can continue their new hobby, and enjoy the Great Lakes! Great Lakes Outdoors Foundation would like to thank the Shaw and Betty Walker Foundation for their generous donation, and the Great Lakes Fly Fishing Company and Glenn Blackwood for their donations and time as well.
